code and scripts

Unfortunately, there are times when even the staunchest adherend of *nix and BSDoids is stuck with Microsoft Windows. Often it is antagonism on first sight. It's those little things that frustrate and that bestow this distinct flair upon many of Microsoft's products, of being not quite thought through yet.

Over the time of 6 years I wrote countless small Windows applications and shell scripts to make the Microsoft systems a bit more usable. Most of these have been published in several of IDG's 'PC-WORLD' publications world wide in several languages.

I updated some of the old scripts that I still find useful and I also wrote a bunch of new ones for friends, fellow sufferers and users who are dissatisfied with Windows' standard-set of tools and programs.

If not otherwise stated, everything here is published under the GPL v3 (why publish scripts under anything else than a open-source license?).

broken windows

Everything here has been thoroughly tested and really is mostly harmless. It is still advisable to be extremly cautious when running someone else's programs, scripts or even re-using code snippets as there is no quarantee that they will not wreak havoc on your precious system. If unsure, check the source code before you run anything. On Windows, only a small portion of my tools require elevated rights and should run fine for non-admin users. Drop me a message if you have any questions, bug reports, suggestions, etc.
